And then, even though the media are quite cognizant of “The Sharon File,” you might want to send a copy to the respective editors of The Jerusalem Post, Yediot Aharanot, Ma’ariv, and Ha’aretz and ask why they have not publicized at least parts of that record of corruption?
Were they afraid of a libel suit?
Even before Attorney-General Menahem Mazuz and Supreme Court President Aharon swept the file under the rug, there was sufficient evidence of Sharon’s skullduggery to induce an honest and patriotic editor to politely call upon Sharon to resign. After all, the Prime Minister of Israel, like Caesar’s wife, must be above suspicion. Was not Arye Deri pressed to resign before he was indicted for bribery?
